Welcome

Phi Theta Kappa is the national honor society for two-year colleges.  Membership into NWF State College's Sigma Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is by invitation only.  It is extended to those students currently enrolled at NWF State College who have completed a minimum of twelve credit hours at our college and have maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.5 in all college courses.

Members of Phi Theta Kappa are recognized for their outstanding academic achievement in a variety of ways.  Membership is recognized nationally, and it is an honor that all eligible students should be pleased to add to their academic resumes.  Membership in NWF State College's Sigma Mu Chapter of PTK is also noted on the NWF State College final transcript (it will be added at the end of the semester when the member graduates).  Our members have the distinction of wearing the gold PTK honor stole and tassel at the NWF State College graduation ceremony. Click on "graduation" on the left menu for more details. In addition, members who graduate in good standing are eligible for Phi Theta Kappa scholarships available at many colleges.
