Teaching Philosophy Student knowledge of technique, media use and basic artistic skills will give the art student a strong foundation to lean on for future artistic growth. Ms. Rackley hopes to provide this knowledge for her students plus foster personal discovery and expression in one's work. To do this involves two kinds of activities; creative experiences and artistic study. As the art student and instructor come together they learn from each other. Each one brings their talent and experience into play in the art experience. Every work of art is a learning experience and a springboard for the next work. Ms. Rackley strives to discover the special qualities in each student that are the basis for their unique way of expression and then lead them towards creative growth. It is a privilege to be a part of this discovery process and exciting to watch artistic growth as it unfolds in the classroom everyday.
